This is more than any of the other activities in the survey. The Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC), is a non-profit organization which reviews health care programs. On July 27, URAC granted final approval to standards for its Health Web Site Accreditation Program. Sites which would like to display an accreditation seal must meet the standards and apply for accreditation. Among other things, sites will be required to identify the site owner and to disclose significant relationships between commercial sponsors and health content. The standards also address privacy, security, and accountability. Reducing head count doesn't necessarily mean cutting back projects. Often, the work still needs to get done, but now there are fewer people to do it. At this time, companies often outsource certain tasks and services. This includes information services.
